DM365 serial cable pinout

Hi,

Does anyone know pinout of the serial cable LI-SER-01 ?

I'm trying to connect to DM365 with minicom through a custom serial cable. But at the moment all I get is strange characters. If I capture the output with minicom -C outpoot.txt, and look at the file with hex editor, it's only a sequence of 71 71 71 71 71 etc.

At the moment we connected:

DB9 pin 2 -> 2.5mm jack TIP

DB9 pin 5 -> 2.5mm jack MIDDLE

DB9 pin 3 -> 2.5mm jack BASE

I did trace the pinout, it is as folows:

2.5mm jack Tip -> GND

2.5mm jack Middle -> TxD

2.5mm jack Base -> RxD

I can see boot outpoot from DM365 if I disconnect RxD. If I connect all three wires - nothing. Any Ideas ?

WHich device and board are you using.

Sorry for not mentioning the board, I'm using Leopard Board DM365 EVM.

Allready got a reply from Leopardimaging.

As it turns out, we made the serial cable based on fault assumptions.

The right pinout is:

2.5mm jack TIP -> DB9 pin 3

2.5mm jack MIDDLE -> DB9 pin 2

2.5mm jack BASE -> DB9 pin 5

Another problem was that minicom does not send any keyboard input, but we switched to picocom.
