TDA4VM: Request for References and PMIC Verification

Part Number: TDA4VM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRA829,

Hi, TI Support Team

The customer used the XTDA4VMXXXGALF and the product was changed during development and was recommended as XJ721EGBALF.

Recommended PMICs for existing products are TPS659411 and TPS659413.

1. Is there a Recommended PMIC for the XJ721EGBALF product?

2. Is it okay to use TPS659411 and TPS659413?

3. I heard that there are no plans to mass-produce the TPS659411 and TPS659413. Do you have any plans for mass production in the future?

4. TPS659411 and TPS659413 are currently in very bad delivery situation.

If you need to use the same product for XJ721EGBALF, please recommend it as an alternative.

Thanks.

Regards,

MJ

  • Hello,

The PTPS659413 and PTPS659411 are not recommended as these are a previous silicon revision and will not be released to production.  The final silicon revision currently released to production are the TPS65941212 (primary) and TPS65941111 (secondary).

    1.  The recommended PMICs for the DRA829 are actually the PTPS65941213 and the PTPS65941111.  Please contact you TI business representative.

    2.  No.  It is not okay to use PTPS659413 or PTP659411.  These devices are PG1.0 silicon and provided for early development only.   Designs should use the production materials.

    3. That is correct.

    4. That is correct.

Please refer to the DRA829 TDA4VM power solutions:

I will ask my colleague to comment on the XJ721EGBALF.
