DRA821U: Is there any dependency of PSDK for RTOS?

Part Number: DRA821U

Hi team,

I would like to use Processor SDK in bare metal programming.
Is there any dependency of Processor SDK components for RTOS?

I heard TI-RTOS is provided as a part of PSDK, so I'm worried that the other components such as Platform SDK or NDK cannot work without RTOS.

Best regards,
Junpei

  • Hi  Kishi,

This is a very broad question.

Processor SDK RTOS is mainly catering towards RTOS based development, but having said that, there are lots of baremetal examples and enablers to help customers get started with baremetal programming. So in that sense, it is not enforcing the use of RTOS.

I would encourage you to take a look at the Processor SDK RTOS package, and refer to the CSL and PDK components which will directly address some of the questions that you have.

However, to restate, it is not our plan to make everything work in baremetal, the SDK is mainly catering to RTOS based examples and enablers.

    Regards

    Karthik
