TDA4VM: HDMI Input

Hello,

I have the TDA3 Board and with it comes a use case for TIDL with HDMI input and HDMI output.

I was wondering if it s possible with the TDA4EVM to be able to have video input(HDMI) to the board to run a TIDL Algorithm that processes the video and output the Overlayed video to HDMI/Display port .

From what i can see there is 2 Display Ports and they are output, is there a solution ?

ps : i also have the Fusion board, could that be help my problem ?

Hi Fares,

TDA4x supports CSI2/MIPI input, it does not support HDMI input.

Even on TDA3x, there is external external HDMI decoder, which converts HDMi input to parallel output.

Hi Fares Benmiled,

We have not really tested HDMI to CSI convertors, you could check online, if it outputs standard MIPI signals, it can most likely work.

is there any possible solution to input a live video from my computer to the TDA4 board ?

Hi Fares,

I am not sure if it is possible to convert computer output to CSI. But if there is someway, yes, it can be connected to TDA4x board.
