TDA4VM: Display port to hDMI

How can i get HDMI from the display port on my board. I am using the TDA4vm and need HDMI output. I know i can buy the adaptor but i am trying to build it on my board.

Hi Mohsen,

There is an HDMI output on infotainment board. Can you use this board to get HDMI output?

thanks for the info i did not know this. So we have the cable that connects display port to HDMI that comes with the EVM. so does that cable has an active device to do the conversion or it is just passive? that is the reason i was asking what to do for display port to HDMI. It looks like on the infotainment board we use the below part, i was hoping there is another way to do this that would be a cheaper solution.

Hi Mohsen,

Typically, just cable only will not do any conversion. so it will just be passive conversion.

Yes, infotainment board is TFP410, which outputs DVI/HDMI from input RGB signal.
