AM5728: Termination resistor using QSPI clock mode 3

Part Number: AM5728

Hi,

The AM572x datasheet contains the QSPI Board Design and Layout Guidelines.
I want to use Clock mode3 to connect to multiple QSPI devices.
In that case, is the R2 resistor shown in the figure below necessary?

Best Regards,
UNA

  • From the QSPI IO Signals table in the AM5728 TRM:

"In case Mode 3 is used, there is no need to connect the qspi1_sclk to the qspi1_rtclk."

In this case, the RTCLK is not used and therefore the circuit looping back the SCLK to RTCLK is not required.
