Hi

Because there is No built-in hardware support for hot-plug of PCIe, we should turn on Rootcomplex device after Endpoint device turned on.
(HOST Device Configuration:
The PCI EP device must be powered-on and configured before the PCI HOST device. This restriction is because the PCI HOST doesn’t have hot plug support.)

However, it is impossible the power-up seaquence for our PCB.
Insted of the power-up sequence, it is possilbe to delay reset release (delay negating the reset signal of 66AK as Rootcomplex device).
Is this reset release sequence OK insted of the power-up sequence?

If it is OK, Which kind of reset signal of 66AK as Rootcomplex device should be delayed? (PORn pin , LRESETn pin, RESETFULLn pin)

    Hello,

    I'm concerned that the suggestion above would result in voltage possibly being applied to the SoC PCIe pins when the SoC itself is not powered. This would violate the operating conditions of our device and could result in damage to same. Please refer to section 5.1 of the device datasheet, with particular attention paid to note (6).

    Powered on timing of Endpoint SoC is tha same as powerrd on timing of Rootcomplex SoC.

    It's just that the difference is reset release timing.

    Then, how about above suggestion?
