Help with CCS and C5416

Hello Everybody,

Im begining to learn how to use the C5416 DSP kit, and programing FIR filters with CCS in C++.

Do you know where can I get some examples for this?? In the examples that came with the CD, I dont

understand what some code means, like:

BASELOAD, MINGAIN, etc.

Please help, I know my question its very basic, but I dont know where to begin to study.

(I know the teory of FIR and IIR filters, but I need to know how to implement them with the DSK.

Are you looking at the 'volume' tutorial that comes with CCS?

Yes! I have been looking the tutorials include with CCS, but

i can't foud how to make windowing FIR filters. And i cant found

what is the mean of some code (like the ones I put before)

The volume tutorial is a very simple example which is really showing off how you can use GEL to adjust variables on the target. MINGAIN is just the default value for the gain that is applied to the input signal and BASELOAD for the load on the DSP. GEL can be used to change both variables on the target on the fly (automatically halting the target and writing the new values for the gain and load and restarting the target again).

Since you question is for help in creating an FIR application to run on C54x, I am going to move your post to the C54x forum. People there will be able to point you to the right resources.
