DM365 and QT-Embedded. How to make green bg transparent

As I understand I should configure QT for passing foreground window to OSD0 and passing background to OSD1. Have any body same experience how configure qt-embedded ?

Your question is being directed to the QT expert.  You should have some feekback soon.

For configuring Qt to display on different OSD planes, TI has provided documentation at,

Within a single application, you cannot pipe foreground output to one OSD and background to another OSD (with standard Qt methods).

One difference between 3730 and DM365 - one of the framebuffers in DM365 only supports 16bit colour formats. You need to experiment with the settings.

i get this infoi  from this forum and i think it will help you :

qtInterface   -bg transparent -qws

you may get a green transparent  windows.

if you add this code in your app,

 //mike add to test transparence
 QWSServer::setBackground(QBrush(QColor(0, 0, 0, 0)));

you may get a transparent background app.

Is there a way to use Qt's transparency functionality (with QWSServer::setBackground(...)) with a 16bpp framebuffer?

We're using an omap3530 platform, and configuring framebuffer to 32bits (ARGB8888) makes the rendering of animations too slow (too much cpu load). These animations move significatively more smoothly with the 16bits (RGB565) configuration (no transparency possible, though).

i don't think so though it's unknown why you are using 16bpp and there might be no transparency bit support by hardware.

so you might not see the video lay in that case.

you can see the code in dvsdk-demo-4.0xxx/dm365/qtInterface.

QT is displayed in fb0, but you need to set fb1 to let it transparent.
