Difference from DMA and QDMA

I am using AWR1843. EDMA is used to pass data from the ADC buffer to the DSP side. I'm investigating EDMA immediately, but it says that I will set the DMA channel or QDMA channel at the setting stage. Which one would you recommend? Sorry for the naive question.

Hi

The EDMA supports EDMA and QDMA channels.

QDMA are simpler than EDMA, I would say similar to a memcpy. The mmWave Demo uses only EDMA channels, no QDMA channels are used.

You can use both in your application. If you need a simple copy of data, you should use QDMA channel

If you need more complex data transfer with indexing and interrupts, chaining... you should use EDMA channels
