Hello Team,
I started to work with XDS110 external debugger on J7 EVM and i am using Ubuntu 18.04 LTS on Virtual box 6.1.
I started with launch configuration for EVM_J721E on CCS and I got the below message and i clicked "update". After that step, an firmware update window popped up and then abruptly stopped, notifying that the firmware update failed and also added information that i have to use the xdsdfu utility to continue DFU mode for updating the firmware.
I did not try to run the xdsdfu utility as i was skeptic of bricking the debugger with firmware update. I tried reconnecting the debugger several times and tried to relaunch the configuration and several tries on update on the below pop up window and @ all instances, the message was firmware update failed.
But after one VM restart, i could see that the XDS 110 is updated with new firmware v3.0.0.13 and i am able to launch the configuration and run through the GEL file and load the binaries.
I am unsure if the update is proper or if the current debugger is good state without any side effects.
Can you please help me verify the same ?
