DRA821U: Concurrently Usable Number and Purpose of Serial Interfaces

Hi TI.

There's a question that Customer wants to clarify about serial interface.

Please let me know the number and purpose of the respective serial interface which is available at the same time in DRA821U.

    Could you check if USB and PCIe works together at same time?

    According to PIN MUX Tool. It seems be not allowed even the following statement says two module can be used concurrently.

    SGMII, USB3.0, and PCIE share total of four SerDes lanes. A maximum of two of the three IP (for example, SGMII and USB) can be used concurrently

    According to PINMUX tool, There're totally 12 serial modules able to run concurrently. 

    • I2C, I3C
    • MCU_I2C, MCU_I3C, MCU_SPI, MCU_UART,
    • PCIe or USB, SPI, UART
    • WKUP_I2C, WKUP_UART

    Is there any other serial interface from DRA821U device?

    Please check what I am seeing is right. and also let us know whether PCIe and USB can not run concurrently.

    On the Pin Mux Tool, instead of using "All pins of interface" for USB and PCIe, can you re-try with only 1 or 2 pins selected?  The two shares the same IP so you cannot use full pins on both interfaces.

    There are also MMC and OSPI customer can operate in 1-bit mode.  The customer can reference TRM for information on available serial interfaces; once they found the interface they'd like to use, they can check for concurrency use case using the Pin Mux Tool.
