I have an AM5706 based design that will be using the PRU ports for EtherNet/IP. Besides the usual Link and Activity LEDS integrated into the Ethernet connectors I will have two dual color LED's configured as follows:
LED1 (Green/Red): Module Status (MS)
LED2 (Green/Red): Network Status (NS)
Are there any provisions for driving these from the PRU ports?
I see the PRU's have GPIO's assigned to them. In this case should I be using those GPIO's?
I know electrically speaking I can drive these LED's from any GPIO (with appropriate buffering) - what I am after is the most appropriate way to control them. Are there provisions within the PRU for driving LED's such as these intelligently to minimize the software overhead?
