EVM 5515 with C22500 transceiver

Is it mandatory to send calibration command (SCAL) on power up? or it's better to put the C22500 in sleep mode after power up?

  • The SCAL command can be sent at any time when the radio is not in low power mode.  You can put the radio to sleep immediately after power up if you like.  I would suggest doing as much configuration as possible initially first then putting it to sleep.  No real requirement to do this just personal preference as part of an initialization procedure.
