Hi TI

It's reproducible from DRA821 too.

Customer used dfu-util v0.9 which could be installed by apt-get install dfu-util on ubuntu 18.4.5 x64 via VMware player 16.

Then followed the steps introduced as below.

The issue occurred while trying to download sysfw.itb or tispl.bin after tiboot3.bin.

After displaying "Resetting USB to switch back to runtime mode", The Error Dialog appeared, then VMWare is terminated continously.

We unable to move to next step due to this error.
Please check this issue, then let us know how to fix it.

We found dfu-util is available for Win32 as well.

But the j7200 evm board' driver could not be identified. Hence unable to try Win32 version.

Could you please also give us Win10 USB driver for J7200 board?

We also would like to try win32 version of dfu-util if Linux version could not be fixed right now.

Hi Jack,

Any chance you can try on host Ubuntu and not Virtual Ubuntu?

Hi Keerthy.

Not yet with native ubuntu. Customer tried to download binary on top of VMware player 16 with Ubuntu 18.

Hi Jack,

I tried myself on VM. The problem is once we give:

sudo dfu-util -R -a bootloader -D tiboot3.bin

-R issues USB Reset & on VM this will stop working. Advice you to use Native Ubuntu for DFU.

Customer has fixed the issue by chaning USB mode from usb2.0 to usb 3.1 in VMware settings as below.
