Dear Champs,

How SPI3 can be used in C66x DSP of AM5728?

Should there anything to be done to use SPI3 in DSP?

My customer is trying to use SPI3 in C66x DSP, but there was no response in RX.

As the same code works well for SPI2 in DSP, they want to know if there is anything should be done to use SPI3 in DSP.

They found IRQ for McSPI3 was connected only to MPU in the TRM as below, but they failed to change it to DSP.

They tried to use it in DSP using below, but there was still no response in RX.

Hi,

What you see in the above table is default mapping of IntrXbar. As mentioned in the TRM under Interrupt section, you can mux any of the available interrupts to DSP1/2. Please go through Table 17-3 and section 18.4.6.4 of the TRM for the required steps.

Hi,

If you check attached their source in above, you find they assigned DSP1_IRQ_43 to MCSPI3 as below, but it was not worked yet.

Could you please check their source? Or Is there anything else should be done except below?

Hi,

There is a test code as part of SDK at below address which is configuring mcspi on DSP1, can you confirm with that example. : \ti\drv\spi\test\src\am572x\SPI_idkAM572x_board.c

They already checked this example, and there is only difference that they are not use GPIO3_16.

Is this GPIO3_16 required to run SPI3 in DSP?

As you see the description here, it says "Application uses GPIO pins to assert load signal in order to generate date from industrial input module."

Can you ask them to once verify with default example.
