AM3358: How to create the Examples?

Hi!

I am using Sitara AM3358 starter kit. I have installed processor_sdk_rtos_am335x_6_01_00_08 on windows 10 pc, but there are no examples project in pdk_am335x_1_0_16 folder. To create the project I ran the "C:\ti\pdk_am335x_1_0_16\packages>pdkProjectCreate.bat" but it is not creating any example projects. It is showing below error for all peripherals.

Detecting all projects in PDK and importing them in the workspace C:\ti\PDK_AM~1\packages\\MyExampleProjects
Detected Test Project: EMAC_BasicExample_evmAM335x_armExampleproject
The system cannot find the path specified.
Copying macro.ini
The system cannot find the path specified.

Hi Gaurev,

Please follow instructions at: https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-rtos/esd/docs/latest/rtos/index_overview.html#pdk-example-and-test-project-creation. Specifically, you'll need to

1. Install and register all Processor SDK products in CCS.

2. Create PDK example projects:

Run batch file to setup environment: C:\ti\pdk_am335x_1_0_16\packages>pdksetupenv.bat
Check CCS version in batch file pdk_am335x_1_0_16\packages>pdkProjectCreate.bat and change it to what you have
Run batch file to generate projects: C:\ti\pdk_am335x_1_0_16\packages>pdkProjectCreate.bat AM335x

3. Import the created project to CCS and build it.

Hi Jianzhong,

Still I am getting same problem. Please find the attached file of command prompt for your reference. It shows how I am creating the projects as you suggested.

When I opened the CCS then automatically it detects the sdk and asked to install the sdk so I have installed in CCS.. Do I need to do anything else in CCS? Please suggest any solution as soon as possible to create the projects.

Hi Gaurav,

Please make sure the CCS path in script pdkProjectCreate.bat is correct. Basically, change the following line based on the CCS version you have and the installation path:

if not defined CCS_INSTALL_PATH (
    set CCS_INSTALL_PATH=C:/ti/ccs930/ccs
)
