Dear TI colleagues,

A new question. On launch pad, we can use a micro USB to debug, because JTAG signals is transformed to USB . For the purpose of saving TM4C's cost, can I only lead out the seven pins of TCK, TMS, TDI, TDO, TRST, VDD, GND, and do not use EMU0 and EMU1?

Hi,

I am assuming you are asking about the JTAG on a new board and not one of the TI EVMs, correct? Assuming this, then yes, if you want to use the Traditional JTAG Emulation Layout (see section 17 of Emulation and Trace Headers TRM), you can do so without EMU0 and EMU1. You will need TDI, TDO, TMS, TCK, and TCKRTN/RTCK (plus power/ground). You will need an external emulator to connect to these signals to interface with the AM243x device.
