Ok, wow this OMAP processor seems like overkill...
The way we make our device currently is by using a stand alone USB to analog CODEC, like your 2900 series, along with a hub and a small microcontroller to send the game or keyboard data. Why we want to find a single processor way to do this is to reduce the chip count, PCB area, and cost. The USB CODEC we use currently has the ability to have the device name in windows defined by us, so that systems with more than one device can be configured correctly. Back when we first came up with the design, the 2900s were tried, but since we can't give them different names, it didn't work. The problem we are left with is that the CODEC we have been using is going obsolete, so I wanted to find a solution that frees us from single source / one choice chips as much as possible. Going by the price of hub, usb codec and the microprocessor we use for the game / keyboard signals, we are not using much processor horsepower.

Anyway - Our programming guy is looking at the TM4C processors as a possible solution.

I don't know enough about the software / processing speed requirements to pick one. I can only state the hardware we need - an interface for an audio CODEC, 20 or so GPIO pins, and a USB port to connect to the host computer the device will be used with. And that the processor has to be able to pass the audio uninterrupted while looking like a mic, speaker, and keyboard or game controller [and if needed by USB, a hub] to the host computer. The key presses / game controller signals are only 1 signal at the beginning and end of the audio stream carrying the mic to the host computer.

Our software guy is looking into the processor/s, actually microcontrollers. The TLV320AIC3204 CODEC looks like a good match for what we need function wise, it's just not available anywhere. Is there any alternative for this device?
