Error in recompiling DSP server (DVSDK using CCStudio_v3.3

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CCSTUDIO

Hi All,

I am trying to recompile the codec DSP server under DVSDK for OMAP35xx and WinCE using CCStudio_v3.3

I tried to import the project under the directory (  TI\dvsdk_wince\dvsdk_wince_1_00_00_05\cs1omap3530_1_00_01\packages\ti\sdo\server\cs\package )

and the project name "ti.sdo.server.cs.pjt". When i tried to built it is giving error as :

Error launching builder (make -k all )
(Exec error:Launching failed)

I need to add support for audio g726 codec encode/decode to the DSP server and generate new "cs.x64P" having g726 support.

Please share your experience.

Regards,

Misbah

  • The codec server was not built under CCS context. Please refer to cs1omap3530_release_notes.htm under TI\dvsdk_wince\dvsdk_wince_1_00_00_05\cs1omap3530_1_00_01 for Codec server build instructions. All the dependent package paths are specified in csRules.mak in the same directory.

    Hope this helps.

  • Hi Jatin,

I followed as you suggested but now i am getting error while recompiling codec server as :

    Can you please suggest/help.

    Regards,

    Misbah

  • - Can you check if the C:\CCStudio_v3.3\bios_5_33_05\packages\ti\bios\config\bios_3530.tci exists on your machine. Since it is a part of the bios_5_33_05 release I would expect it to be there. But the error seems to be indicating that file is missing.

    - General question/suggestion: Did you first try compiling the codec server as is (without any of your changes). That will eliminate any tools/path related issues. The above issue seems to be path related. But I just want to make sure you have a baseline before introducing any changes.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Jatin,

    Thanks for your reply!

C:\CCStudio_v3.3\bios_5_33_05\packages\ti\bios\config\bios_3530.tci did not exit in my machine.

I searched and found it present in "C:\ti-tools\bios\bios_5_33_05\packages\ti\bios\config" so i copied it and pasted it at "C:\ti-tools\bios\bios_5_33_05\packages\ti\bios\config" then compiled and still getting the error as :

Now i am trying to built the codec server as it is (without modification). What probably is getting wrong ?

All relevant tools are installed on my machine rules.make is configured as suggested by TI

Can you point out where things are getting wrong ?

    Can you share your thoughts/experiance.

  • I don't understand why your BIOS 5.33.05 installation in 2 different directories has different files but If your C:\CCStudio_v3.3\bios_5_33_05\ installation was missing bios_3530.tci file I'm not sure what other files maybe missing. My suggestion would be to use the other BIOS path C:\ti-tools\bios\bios_5_33_05 in csRules.mak.

Also could you please attach the csRules.mak file.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Jatin,

I uesd the other BIOS path C:\ti-tools\bios\bios_5_33_05 in csRules.mak file and it works now.

The issue was with installing CCS 4 which created the bios folder but some of the files were missing.

I tested dmai based speech encoder/decoder applications for wince, running it from command line and it works fine.

I then written two test application clone of speech encoder/decoder applications under my wince project compiled it and when i tested

The encoder application is working perfect and generating the output .pcm file.

But The decoder application runs and i can see it returns successfully from CERuntime_init(), Dmai_init(), Engine_Open() with name "decoder"

and fail all the time during Senc1_create() with codec name as "g711dec" and "g726dec". Failed to create the codec server.

I dont have a clue what is getting wrong in decoder where in the encoder application works well.

    Can you please help ?

    Regards,

    Misbah

  • Hi Jatin ,
