Simple question regarding PSP drivers for C6748 and SYS/BIOS 6

Hi,

I am using SYS/BIOS (version 6.31.04.27) in combination with PSP drivers (version 2.10.01) using EVM6748 hardware. I am interested in using PSP's block media and mmcsd drivers. However, if I look in the "pspdrivers_02_10_01\packages\ti\psp\platforms\evm6748" directory there is not a file called "Mmcsd_evmInit.h" or equivalent. Also, in the "mmcsd\lib" directory, there is only a library for the DA830 platform. This seems to indicate that this version of PSP drivers does not include mmcsd drivers for the C6748, even though previous versions of PSP (e.g. 1.30.01) did. However, to my understanding, 1.30.01 is not compatible with SYS/BIOS 6. A similar story seems to hold for block media drivers.

I would appreciate if someone could confirm whether my observations above are correct. My main question is really: is there a version of PSP for the C6748 that I can use with SYS/BIOS 6 and that has drivers for the C6748's mmcsd peripheral as well as block media drivers?

I would say your understanding is absolutely right.

We do not have mmcsd and block media driver support for C6748 in the PSP 2.10.01.

Effectively then most of the PSP drivers (including also McASP, I2C) are not usable for the C6748 when using SYS/BIOS 6. Could you please elaborate as to whether such support is planned in the near future.

I have to say that TI does not seem very proactive in communicating this kind of limitation clearly to the community!
