PROCESSOR-SDK-J7200: J7200 RTOS SDK CAN related functions

Hi TI

We have a question about the J7200 RTOS SDK CAN related functions.

Currently, we see the can_traffic_generator demo code in the CAN-Ethernet Gateway demo and mcan demo code function in PDK.

These two are build on mcu1_0 (as below pictures). Is it possible to make these two run on mcu2_0 or 2_1?

Or ,is this a specific function that can only be run on a specific core?

Hi Jay,

It's possible to run these gateway demos on other cores but it would require modifications to makefile and source code. We do not have this documented currently.

If you are trying to evaluate CAN on different cores then perhaps MCUSW would be a better fit, please see this documentation

We check PDK also have CAN diag test.

Which is better for driver porting integration development ?

Hi Jay,

PDK Diag applications are only for board checkout and bring-up. Please use mcusw for application development. Consult the MCUSW user guide
