Hi,

I am looking for a floating point, low power consumption DSP from TI for my new project. So far C6748 seems meet my requirements. But I am just worry about how long TI is able to supplies this chip because it is at market more than 10 years. Do you have any new similar product option for me? Thanks.

This owning team is aligned with the needs of the long term industrial market, and supports manufacturing of products as long as possible. TI is still supporting processors devices over 20 years old today. TI plans to support this product for the forseeable future.

Hi roger,

Would you need an ARM core + DSP, or just DSP?

For just DSP, any of the TMS320C674x family will be the best option for low-power.floating point.

The C6748 is unique in that it features a SATA controller, when compared with the other devices in the C674x family.

The C6745, C6746, C6747, and C6748 all featured the fastest clock frequency in the C674x family.
