AM6442: CONFIGURING PSLC MODE IN EMMC

Hi,

We have a board with am6442 chip and need to configure the emmc as pslc.We found that it can be configured from uboot with mmc commands .

If it is configured as pslc , will there be any booting issues ?

Is this configuration tested successfully in am6442 chip?

We have an evaluation board . Could you please provide some links or steps to configure a part of the emmc in pslc mode successfully.

Any help is appreciated.

    Hi Radhika
    There's a kernel tool "mmc-utility" included in TI SDK package, for example,

    root@am64xx-evm:~# mmc enh_area --help
Usage:
        mmc enh_area set <-y|-n|-c> <start KiB> <length KiB> <device>
                Enable the enhanced user area for the <device>.
                Dry-run only unless -y or -c is passed.
                Use -c if more partitioning settings are still to come.
                NOTE!  This is a one-time programmable (unreversible) change.
