CCS v4.2 hangs on install

My customer ran into a problem with the TI OMAP-L138 development system. They are trying to install v4.2.0 from a DVD supplied with the TI OMAP-L138 development system and can’t get code composer program to install on their system. It gets about ¾ through the install then it seems to just hang there until end the task, which windows says is “not responding”.
Their PC has 1.95GB of RAM, 2.26 GHz processor, and 100GB of free disk space so it doesnt seem to be a memory problem. And they see the same issue on multiple PCs. They are running on XP pro SP3.
I had them zip the whole InstallJammer Registry directory and can send it if that helps.

    Lynne,

     

       I think it's better if they try and download the trial version either off TI.com or via the Wiki Article on CCSv4 before we explore the registries. There might be an issue with the DVD that he has. Also - Make sure he has the correct permissions to install.

     

       Also - since this thread pertains to CCSv4, it might be better to ask follow up questions to the Code Composer Studio Forum
