Good day.
Our customer has the TMS320C6678. He would like to use the CCS 10.4 on Mac OS Bis Sur. But he cannot find the compiler when he create a project.
He successfully installed the compiler through CCS and it appears in /Applications/ti/ccs1040/ccs/tools/compiler (see screenshot attached). However, the eclipse IDE (which is installed by the CCS installer) still cannot find the compiler (see screenshot attached).

Thanks and regards,

In the screen shot where a new CCS project is being created, the device is not set to TMS320C6678. Making that change will help. Furthermore, please see if the article Compiler Installation and Selection is helpful.
Please let me know if these suggestions resolve the problem.
Thanks and regards,

Hello George,
As I remember versions of CCS for Mac have no processors support yet, and release notes at https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/CCSv10/CCS_10_4_0/exports/CCS_10.4.0_ReleaseNotes.htm say about the same. I was under impression there is no support for C66x on Mac. Did I missed something?
I apologize. rrlagic is correct. The CCS release notes state ...
Code Composer Studio device support on macOS is limited to microcontrollers (MSP, C2000, SimpleLink, Tiva and Hercules) and does not include processors (Sitara, DSP, KeyStone).
Therefore, TMS320C6678 is not supported.
Thanks and regards,
-George
