Does the AM6528 have XIP mode that allows it to execute program memory directly from an external Flash memory IC in a manner similar to the AM6442 XIP mode?

Hi,
We don't have XIP mode in case of AM65x, but if you explain your usecase we might have some other tools for that functionality.
I am considering the AM6528 for an application with limited space, so if the AM6528 can execute its programming directly from an external Flash IC like the AM6442, it saves space; otherwise, I (apparently) would need to add an external SDRAM program memory chip, which is going to require more space (and more power supply). Correct me if I'm wrong, but for this reason it would be an advantage to not need the external SDRAM.
Hey, i checked with the team. XIP got enabled on AM65x. Please see below links:
Hi,
Does the "2.5 - 3x times worse than OCM" reduce the effective processor MIPs?
I am discussing AM65x XIP programming internally. Will get back to you in sometime.
do the AM6442 and the AM6528 contain enough internal RAM to store program without needing an external SDRAM?
Please refer datasheet for these details. If you are not finding for AM64x please create a new thread for AM64x. For AM65, here is the information:
