AM3358: Can t access PRU with XDS110 on beaglebone black

Hi,

i'm trying to execute the LAB1 example on the PRU training hands on lab pages, that i downloaded from here.

i followed all the steps, but when i connect to target cortexA8 to execute gel for initialize PRU ICSS, i get this error

CS_DAP_DebugSS: Error: (Error -242 @ 0x0) A router subpath could not be accessed. The board configuration file is probably incorrect. (Emulation package 9.4.0.00129)

and i can't connect to PRU as well.

my test connection on target configuration file works well, and i have powered up the board pressing S2 switch, to prevent boot from linux.

Is this a bug related to emulation package?? Am i doing something wrong? Please give hints

Update.

I can connect only few times after many attempts.

Mostrly one out of 10 attempts has success. Why i am so struggling to program and debug with this PRU peripheral??

Apologies for the delayed response. Are you still running into errors? If so, please tell us:

* What version of CCS are you using?

* Please attach an image of your Target Configuration file, similar to the image in this section: https://software-dl.ti.com/processor-sdk-linux/esd/docs/08_00_00_21/common/PRU-ICSS/PRU-Hands-on-Labs.html#load-the-pru-firmware

it was a hardware problem, badly soldered connector.

Now it is able to connect and load software. I can consider now it s working. But i have to say that recently, i switched to XDS110 probe. i noticed that this probe disconnect and has issues during reading registers, more frequently than XDS100v2.

You may want to try experimenting with the TCLK speed for the XDS110:
