AM6548: What is K3 architecture?

Hi,

I am in process of understanding AM65xx line of processors and I keep coming across K3 architecture term but couldn't find much relevant information regarding same. Can someone point me the doc which details out what K3 architecture really means?

Hi,

K3 is a architecture followed while implementing software/hardware. Since architecture is a broad term you can refer SOC TRM for detailed information. If that doesn't help, can you tell what exactly you are looking.

Hi,

I am going through AM65xx TRM but unable to make out anything from K3 term. Is it TI specific or generic design term used by other SOC vendors also? What does K3 specify? If it is something which is followed while implementing software/hardware then is there any specification document which talks about K3 compliance architecture?

Hi Raxesh,

K3 is an abbreviation for Keystone 3, it is a TI specific term to denote a shift in the overall SoC architecture from the predecessors TI SoCs.
