increasing noise at black areas after decoding

Hello,

In my streaming application I have two boards based on DM6467 - one for encoding and the other for decoding.

The encoding board is connected to a video source and the decoding board is connected to a display.

I notice that while streaming, as time progresses, noise accumulates on black regions in the displayed image. The noise is somehow related to the motion of the displayed video.

I recorded a streaming period to demonstrate the problem I have and it can be downloaded from: http://minicomdsje.sytes.net:8090/RND/image_noise.avi

In this recording the right display is connected to my Davinci based decoder. The left display is connected to a non-Davinci based decoder. It can be seen that there are noises on the right display, whreas the left display shows a clean video.

I also noticed that if an IDR is sent, this noise is cleared until noise accumulation starts again.

What can be the cause of this noise?

Thank you,

Nir Aloni
