TDA4VM: DCC 2.03 failed to save RAW/YUV image issue

Can you please let us know the path on your PC where the dependencies have been installed?

Are there any other versions of Matlab or VC runtime installed on the PC?

There are two versions of MATLAB runtime 9.0: 32bits & 64bits:

And the path of 32 bits MATLAB Runtime: D:\Program Files (x86)\MATLAB\MATLAB Runtime\v90, the path of 64 bits MATLAB Runtime: D:\Program Files\MATLAB\MATLAB Runtime\v90.

The VC Redistributable Package was installed in the default path, and there are many versions of VC Redistributable package: 

The DCC version is 2.03, the installed path is D:\Program Files (x86)\Texas Instruments\DCC.

Can you please uninstall both MATLAB Runtimes? after that install only 64bit version and see if the tool works.

The DCC tool 2.03 reported the same error after uninstall both MATLAB Runtimes + only install 64bit version.

I also tried to uninstall both MATLAB Runtimes + uninstall DCC tool 2.03 + only install 64bit version + install DCC tool 2.03, and the same error was reported.

What else might this error be related to? Could it be related to the operating system? Which is using on my PC is Windows 10 64bit.

Please help answer.

Windows 10 64bit is fine. Default path for Matlab runtime 64 bit is C:\Program Files (x86)\MATLAB\MATLAB Runtime\v90.

Can you please try installing in this path?

Thanks for your answer, but the DCC 2.03 reported the same error after install MATLAB Runtimes in default path. And the DCC also install in default path.

Besides, I also ran the same test on windows7 64-bit virtual machine and got the same error.

Could it be a problem with the DCC 2.03 installation package? I downloaded it from website: https://cdds.ext.ti.com/ematrix/common/emxNavigator.jsp?objectId=28670.42872.33141.60176. Or is there any other version of DCC that supports TDA4?

The package has been installed on more than 100 PCs. It seems like a conflict on the PC. Will you be able to try another PC which has no prior installation of Matlab Rutime or VC Redistributable?

I have done the same operation on 3 other PCs, and DCC reported the same error on different PCs.

Is it possible that there is a conflict with DCC 2.02, because I have installed DCC 2.02 on the computer before. But I can be sure that DCC2.02 is completely uninstalled before installing DCC2.03.

By the way, when I save RAW/YUV image on DCC 2.02, the application will become unresponsive and crashes, and there will be one log: "Test data path is NULL. Returning without sending image".

Does DCC 2.02 support TDA4 board? I thought that DCC 2.02 may not support TDA4 board, so I changed to DCC 2.03.

2.02 is compatible with TDA4. Before trying to capture the image, please verify your connection by pinging the board from PC.

Before capturing images every time, I have confirmed that I can ping the board through the Ethernet connection.

Do you have any other idea about this issue? I really can't think of where the problem will be, please help.

Is the DCC 2.03 the latest version? And do you know the reason of the log: "Test data path is NULL. Returning without sending image" when save YUV/RAW image use DCC 2.02?

Is it possible that the version of c++2010 we downloaded is wrong (as shown below) ? Because the dependency link comes from your documentation of c++2010 cannot be found.

Test data path is set by vision_apps_init.sh script. Please make sure you are running this before starting app_single_cam

Looks like Microsoft has stopped supporting Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package. The download page says

"We're sorry, this download is no longer available"

We will look into it.

After replacing the file you provided, DCC 2.03's error report disappeared.

But the DCC 2.03 will be not responding and there is a log: "Test data path is NULL. Returning without sending image" when I save image, which is the same as DCC 2.02.

And this time I run vision_apps_init.sh before starting app_single_cam, it seems that vision_apps_init.sh is not work.

Please run ./vision_apps_init.sh with "source"

I also noticed that the board is not getting IP address

NETWORK: Opened at IP Addr = 0.0.0.0, socket port=5000!!!

For live tuning to work, the board must get a valid IP.

I can save image successfully use "source ./vision_apps_init.sh" and "./run_app_single_cam.sh", thank you very much!

The IP address has been set, as shown below (eth1):

And I can send DCC files to board successfully while the log: "NETWORK: Opened at IP Addr = 0.0.0.0, socket port=5000!!!" still exists.

What does this have to do with?
