Embed an icon in video frames to encode

Hi there,

I remember this is done, but not sure if it is done in encoder layer or in other layers and found no pointer to it.
Does DM365 H.264 "encoder" implement this feature ?
If yes, please indicate the way to activate it.

Hi Yulin,

H.264 encoder cannot embedd any kind of icon of OSD over the encoded frame. This has to be done external to encoder using s/w OSD (using EDMA).

Hi Yulin,

Good to hear from you again. If you refer to the IP Camera Reference Design on DM36x from TI, you can find the software OSD implementation. This is done outside the encoder as Yashwant mentioned. This is EDMA based implementation that can be used for reference.
