My customer is using the PRU-ICSS firmware of Dual EMAC and Switch included in the Processor SDK RTOS 06_03_02.
However, they found there is something wrong maybe bug in the firmware.
LLDP seems to be sent to the other device through the switch. LLDP should not be gone through the switch due to it is the communication between neighboring devices.
Could you fix it ?
They think that PRU-ICSS (Industrial Communication SubSystem) firmware should be targeted to the industrial use case. The specification as transferring all MAC broadcasts does not meet the switch standards.
The LLDP destination is one of the Reserved MAC addresses in the IEEE standard, and the switch must not forward. Also, if the switch forwards LLDP, it is possible that LLDP does not work correctly.
Could you please fix it so that it does not forward the Reserved MAC address of IEEE standard including LLDP ?
