TDA2EG-17: yuv output display problem

Hi,

Are you using BT1120 output interface to get YUV422 data over 16bit interface? In this case, please note that luma will be output in lower 8bit (in fact in lower 10bits) and chroma on upper 10bits.. Please make sure interface is appropriately configured in the receiver end.

In addition, please make that input format is correct. DSS supports YUYV and UYVY for YUV422 formats, please see if this is configured correctly as per the input frame.

    I configured it as yuv output according to this “The Implementation of YUV422 Output for SRV spracg3” document .

    Use wb to get yuv data, and then  configure input YUV422 as RGB565, disable all internal processing modules,

    then set the output if size to 16bit in overlay manager, enable TDM to send out 2bytes over two clock cycles..

can you please check if the output format is as expected by the receiver, like receiver is expecting UYVY and DSS is configured to send YUYV..

      The output format is inconsistent with the recipient’s expectations,like receiver is expecting UYVY and DSS is configured to send YUYV.

 The actual navigation reception display effect is shown in the figure below:

    It’s not just that the red and blue displays are reversed.

Can you please try changing output format in DSS WB?  Instead of output YUYV from DSS WB, can you configure it to output UYVY and see if it helps?

    I have tried to modify the color format of the red box in the above picture, but I cannot correct the current color cast problem.

What is the output interface you are using? Is it 8bit or 16bit interface? 

If you are using 16bit interface, please check luma and chroma data are coming on the correct 8bit componnet.

If you are using 8bit interface, can you please check the expected sequence on the receiver?

In any case, can you try inverting pixel clock edge settings?

    I  amusing 8bit interface,I tried to modify the pixel clock polarity.

    pVInfo->vencOutputInfo.pixelClkPolarity = SYSTEM_DCTRL_POLARITY_ACT_HIGH;

    No change, can tda2e17 output VYUY format data through wb?

No if i remember correctly, only YUYV and UYVY formats are supported in the WB output. and since we are treating input yuv data as RGB565, the output color order will be fixed, ie either YUYV o UYVY. 

Is your receiver expecting VYUY format?
