TMS320DM8168: Need recommendation for Ethernet PHY

We are using the TMS320DM8168 on a new design and need to connect to the processor's GMII port, converting to SGMII for connection to a motherboard via an FMC connector. What TI PHY IC would you recommend for this application? Our preference would be a BGA package, but not a deal breaker.

As marked on the product page, we do not offer design support for this device and support comes from third party partners. That said, I will see if the team who supports Ethernet PHY's would have any suggestions based on your description.

Ted, If i understand correctly you are looking for PHY which can convert GMII to SGMII - is my understanding correct ? We have solutions offering RGMII to SGMII

Is the BGA also a requirement.

Thank you for your response. The processor we are using (TMS320DM8168) does not support RGMII... only GMII. BGA is a preference... not a requirement.

Hello Ted,

Thank you for the inputs. We do not have a solution for converting GMII to SGMII.

DP83867 device provides GMII interface to copper and DP83869 provides RMII to SGMII interface.
