first of all ,I have to say sorry,because english is not my first language,I may use wrong words to express my opinion.

recently I design circuit for DRx52x an ARM WITH A8 core,the 26 MHz crystal oscillator, an engineer told me that it should be an Active crystal with 1.8V power supply ,

but I can not find any Active crystals in auto level with 1.8V power supply.Can I use a Passive crystal to replace the Active crystal? but can the arm chip work normally?

AM3517 supports either external clock input to sys_xtalin pin from a clock source such as crystal oscillator or external crystal with on-chip oscillator as a clock source. Please refer the details of the requirements to the section 4.1 Oscillator and 4.2 Input Clock Specifications in the datasheet.

there is a difference between DRx52x and am3517 ,in the datasheet of DRx52x, There is no crystal oscillator circuit,can i use it as am3517?

one more question:

will there be a difference between the crystal oscillator and external crystal for am3517?

can it affect the performance of the processor?

As long as you use a crystal oscillator or a crystal that meets the spec in the AM3517 datasheet, there shouldn't be a difference on the processor performance.
