Static Creation of MessageQ in SYS/BIOS?

The SYS/BIOS User's Guide states the following:

3.3.2 Creating a MessageQ Object

You can create message queues dynamically. Static creation is not

supported.

Yet, I can select MessageQ from the available packages menu and a static Message Q appears to be created. Please explain.

MessageQ static creation is indeed not supported. In fact, no IPC modules support this with the exception of NameServer.

The fact that a MessageQ can be statically created by XGConf is a known issue. Apologies for the confusion.

Are you (IPC) guys introducing a major update in early May as the XGCONF guys are?

Yes, IPC 1.23 is scheduled to be released by early May.
