AM5728: Echo Cancellation in TLV320AIC3212

Hello All,

Problem Statement:

I have ported the TLV320AIC3212 Audio Codec device with TI-AM5728 SoC for VoIP Applications. However, I am still facing the issue of echo cancellation on this AudioCodec device.

Findings:

1. It has been found that echo cancellation is not supported directly on 3212 device as it does not have an inbuilt DSP.

Queries:

1. In TI-AM5728 SoC, 2 C66x DSPs are present. How can these DSPs be used to implement echo cancellation? Is there any echo cancellation algorithm available to port c66 DSP and how to communicate with c66 DSP from SoC?

2. I also read that echo cancellation can be implemented through software. Is there any third-party software/library available which can be used for the same?

3. On going through the TI device catalog, it has been found that TLV320AIC3262 has inbuilt DSP and supports echo cancellation. Is echo cancellation a configurable parameter in 3262 or one has to implement echo cancellation in 3262 also?
