CCSTUDIO: Issue with Profiler

Hi,

We are using CCStudio 10.4 and trying to get Profile data for the code running on the DSP66x of our AM571x Sitara processor. The Profile clock values are obtained in CCS, but when opening Tools-> Profile -> Setup Profile Data Collection, there is an error "Failed to create Part's controls" and the detailed error log is below. Please let us know what needs to be done. Thanks a lot.

    Hello

    This is a known issue that should be addressed in CCS 11.0.

    Note that this specific profiler tool is no longer really supported. It's usefulness is limited because:

    1) It is breakpoint based - limiting its usability for code in flash (limited number of hardware breakpoints)

    2) Because of #1, it is intrusive and will impact real-time performance of the application

    3) On C6x, it can be inaccurate due to cache consideration when setting the software breakpoints for profiling.

    Hence I would actually advise against using this tool.
