AM6548: AM6548 Docker image is cracked (SDK8.0)

Part Number: AM6548

Hi.

When using the Docker image to boot AM6548 GP EVM, you just need to do "grep" some words in the root dir.

It will show "EL3" and this is serious kernel panic.

How to solve this?

    Hi .

    I found we cannot perform any "grep" cmd under the root path.

    And no matter you try to grep something on the root path, this issue will be reproduced on the TI EVM.

    please help to solve if any.

    That is indeed strange. I tried on DRA821-EVM & it does not crash.

    One strange thing. Why is it called AM64xx? It should be AM65xx. Do you have a special file system of you own?

    Hi Keerthy:

    I found this syndrome by using SDK8.0.

    The kernel will be crushed "ONLY" if you perform the "Grep cmd" in the root path.

    If you perform the "Grep cmd" in the sub dir, the kernel will not crush.

    I think the docker developer shall fix it.

    Hi Rio,

    The support for docker on the AM6548 was experimental in nature and not fully tested/validated. It is not to be used.

    We will fix the documentation for the next release.
