AM3354: Artifact issue with weston

Hi,

I am using am3354 and running weston on PSDK6.0.

In our application using OpenGLES 2.0 starts, I found the strange line on the display and this issue isn't found constantly.

It is similar with this thread, AM3354: OpenGL/QT font rendering problem - corrupt glyphs(e2e.ti.com/.../am3354-opengl-qt-font-rendering-problem---corrupt-glyphs).
Could you please prepare the am335x_gpu_images.tar.gz for PSDK 6.0 to solve this problem?

Hello Takayuki,

Unfortunately, we do not maintain PSDK6.0 but you could use the same binaries that you linked in the above E2E thread. We have fixed the above issues on our latest PSDK.

Thanks for your replying. I'll try your suggestion.

Now I am being asked to explain the cause of this glitch. Does this problem happen only at the starting of the application?

I would like to know the cause and the fix of the problem with the original thread.

Hello Takayuki,

There was a bug in texture memory allocations and the issue could happen anytime. Unfortunately, I cannot share the fix because the GPU source code is not available publicly.
