I have not been able to find any programmable option that can disable JTAG access.

a few questions:

- Is the system operational when you try and connect via JTAG?

- Can you connect before booting and boot the system without disconnecting, What happens? 

- Could the code be crashing the processor? 

As an experiment, what happens if you remove the purchased code?

In order;

-Yes system completes its' boot and is full operation and while we are trying to connect. But we can not connect.

-Yes we can connect before DSP completes its boot process and can boot it manually over emulator downloading the same code. System works well without any degradation and we can stay connected to DSP.

- We do not know but the only problem we face is we can not connect to DSP JTAG after it completes its boot process. There is not any problem in the system in runtime. We want to connect the DSP after test and debug it without on/off the system. We do not want to perform test while JTAG emulator is connected to our system. 

What is the error message when it fails to connect?

Why boot via JTAG? Can you not boot normally when connected?  Booting from JTAG is changing the test condition

The emulator can still be connected while you operate normally. I want to see if you loose the connection after boot. 

Another question, from what peripheral/media are you booting in normal operation? 

Sorry for late response. We are using a parallel flash to boot the DSP. 

System boots normally from parallel flash but because we can not connect to DSP after it completes boot from flash we are connecting before boot and boot DSP manually.

If we connect to DSP before it completes boot from flash, device operate normally and we can stay connected. Problem is we can not connect to DSP after it is booted up from its parallel flash.

I not been able to find anything in the device configuration options, boot or post-boot (PERCFG), that could disable the JTAG.  you should be able to connect JTAG at boot, then load s/w via the normal (not JTAG) boot media and see if it remains connected once boot has completed and the system is operating.
