Enabling login prompt on DM3730 EVM

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DM3730

Hi ,

I am  having DM3730 EVM, currently booting with DVSDK4_02_00_06 rootfs through NFS.

When board boots up, no login  prompt on the console. How to enable the same?

Regards

Krishna

  • Hello krishna,

I am facing same issue but only sporadically. I am currently using DM3730 EVM with DVSDK 4_02_00_06 too.  I am looking for solution to this issue.

Another issue i am facing is that I am not able to enter any commands at u-boot prompt. It is not responding to my keyboard input. And hence i am not able to erase my NAND memory which I have written with x-loader, u-boot and env commands earlier. I tried using ssh with EVM IP, but it seems that ssh is not enabled/present on the board. Can somebody tell me how to enable ssh on DM3730 EVM?

I am pasting my last print message while booting:

    File /sdk/build/DVSDK_4_02/4_02_00_06/arago-install/arago-tmp/work/dm37x-evm-none-linux-gnueabi/ti-linuxutils-1_2_26_01_02-r94d
    /linuxutils_2_26_01_02/packages/ti/sdo/linuxutils/sdma/src/module/sdmak.c

Someone please help solve this issue ASAP !!

Have you disabled "Hardware flow control" in minicom or sersi port configuration  for the u-boot prompt issue ?

Are you using the SERIAL to USB converter and vice versa, ? may be it could be the problem.

You have to install "sshd" or "open-ssh serrer" package on your filesystem.

Try to cross compile the ssh server.
