    rowboat-gingerbread-dsp.xml manifest is already available on Gitorious Rowboat repo. It can decode up to D1 in realtime. 720P realtime decoding will be available on Gitorious  next week.

    Will there be an official TI release at some point?  We can't baseline our commercial product off of rowboat code.

    DSP build error

    Target: 3530EVM built on 64bit Ubuntu

    Using: rowboat-gingerbread-dsp manifest (synced today) and dvsdk_omap3530-evm_4_01_00_09_setuplinux
    Command line: make TARGET_PRODUCT=omap3evm -j8 OMAPES=3.x
    Result:

    The release will be available at end of May.

    I got the same error. When can we except the gingerbread + dsp support for omap3evm?

    it has been supported for a while.

    To make it clear - DM3730 EVM has been supported for a while, not OMAP3530 EVM though. (not sure what you referred omap3evm to.)

    Please note that there are no plans to suppor Gingerbread or future Android versions on OMAP3530 EVM;  Gingerbread will be supported on DM3730 EVM and we will have  a devkit release which includes DSP+video accelerated multimedia support soon (already in rowboat but coming to ti.com as well).

    Also, please note that AM/DM37x devices which launched last year are the next generation devices to OMAP35x.  These devices are compatible with OMAP35x devices but are essentially higher performance, lower power, and roughly same ot better price point.  Therefore we encourage all new designs take advantage of this better deal for our end customers which also includes more recent software updates.
