TMS320C6746: use of DMA to handle SPI data transfers on TMS320C6746

We need use DMA to load data from external Nor Flash, the Flash is connected with SPI0, do you have reference code to configure the SPI0 DMA data RX/TX?

we downloaded the demo, it works in loop mode, when disable the loop, and try send data to external Flash,  EMDA can't enter INT when complete.

we tested the example without any changes ,C:\ti\C6748_StarterWare_1_20_04_01\examples\evmC6748\spi_edma,  but EDMA can't enter INT. can you support? thanks!

The StarterWare for C6748 is a legacy package and we don't support it anymore.

The example project, SPI_LoopbackExample_lcdkOMAPL138_c674xDMAExampleProject, uses a very simple task from SYS/BIOS. The main content of this project shows how to use EDMA for SPI transfer. It can be adapted to bare-metal application.

In fact, this project has an option to build for bare-metal case:

1. Define BARE_METAL in main_spi_loopback_example.c

#define BARE_METAL

 2. Comment out the following lines in spi_test_dma.cfg:

var task0Params                 = new Task.Params();
task0Params.instance.name       = "echo";
task0Params.stackSize           = 0x100000;
Program.global.echo             = Task.create("&spi_test", task0Params);

3. Comment out System_printf() in main_spi_loopback_example.c

With these changes, you should be able to build this project without using SYS/BIOS tasks.

is ti planning to stop manufacturing tms320c6746, and closing it all support day by day, let know, so we don't invest our time to develop using tms320c6746
