AM5728: Kernel error with WL1835MOD

Dear Champs,

My customer faced kernel error when they connected WL1835MOD on their custom board, and they connected WL1835MOD using jumper wire as below.

By referring WL18xx Module Hardware Integration Guide (Rev. B), they connected GPIO and SDIO lines as below.

They connected 10K pull-up resisters to MMC4_CMD, MMC4_DAT0~3 except MMC4_CLK.

And they did not connect BT related pins as they will not use BT.

The kernel dmesg is as below and there were errors occurred in the sdio communication.

    They tested it on AM5728 GP EVM(revision 1.0, earlier than A3a), and they also found issues when they run ifconfig and wpa_supplicant to work WL1835MOD through SDIO as below.

  • They resolved this issue in their custom board by themselves although there is still an issue in the AM5728 GPEVM.

    One of root cause was SDIO signal integrity issue in their custom board.
