TDA4VM: USB cannot be recognized by entering the uboot command line

Part Number: TDA4VM

Hi team,

The customer's hardware, USB is not recognized during the uboot phase. Once the kernel is started, it can be recognized.

usb start:

During uboot phase, the Vbus does not have 5 V. The device tree configuration is the same for the uboot and kernel here. The customer would like to know how to analyze. Y23 controls the 7V IN of U33 already exists. But there's no 5-V output.

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Cherry

  • Hello

Can you share the full log if possible instead of screen shot? From the screen shot you share, we see that USB1 instance @ 0x6400000 is being tried in the host mode and for some reason the USB PHY init is failing.

The schematics screen shot shared show the USB0 instance @0x6000000. Can you tell if USB0 or USB1 instance used here?

    Few questions:

    - What is the version of TI Linux SDK release is being used for the customer's hardware?

    - Was there any modification done to the u-boot device tree files for the customer board? Can you share the details.

    - How is the USB1_DRVVBUS pin-mux handled in the u-boot device tree file? Is is same as kernel device tree entry?

    Thanks.
