AM1808 SD Card creation procedure

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM1808, OMAP-L138, LINUXEZSDK-SITARA

Am18xx Champs,

I do not have an Am1808 Logic PD SD Card. I want to create one for LogicPD Experimenter kit.

Can you please share a link/procedure?

Thanks!

  • Feroz,

    Are you working with Linux?

Do you already have the am1808 SDK installed and a linux host development distribution?

If yes, take a look at this page: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/How_to_Make_3_Partition_SD_Card

  • Hi,

I wanted to post a new question, but this is just what I am attempting.

What is the recommended approach (with minimum risks and fewer hitches) of creating a SD card?

I have AM1808 card and Linux (Ubuntu) host environment.

Do I run the automated "mksdboot.sh" script in the DVSDK, or follow these steps? I am a little hesitant to install 1.5GB file just to execute one shell script?

    Please comment.

    Thanks,

  • Hi Ashfaque,

Yes please use the above wiki and follow the steps. YOu should not use DVSDK but Linux ezSDK and follow the guides/wikis corresponding to that release

May I know what co you belong to?

    Best Regards

    Feroz

  • Hi Feroz,

I would prefer to use some automation and reduce the risk of trial-and-errors if I can. I downloaded CCS-5.3.0.00090_Sitara-ARM, and don't see any shell scripts there.

I am a little confused here. Why do I need to install ezSDK when I already have PSP installed (as per "AM1808 and OMAP-L138 Linux User Guide)? Can I get the individual shell-script (and any associated components) just to create the SD card?
