TMDS64GPEVM: EtherCAT/Profinet

What functionality are you planning to implement - master or slave ?

It's about to realizing an EtherCAT Slave and ProfiNET Slave.

I’m not a EtherCAT expert but there exists a PHY selection guide here: https://download.beckhoff.com/download/Document/io/ethercat-development-products/an_phy_selection_guidev2.7.pdf which lists some requirements.

I guess that the used Gbit PHY (DP83869HMRGZT) should be ok, but I haven’t seen any explicit information regarding this point.

I was also wondering why EtherCAT / ProfiNET is not advertised for the TMDS64GPEVM. This is different to the https://www.ti.com/tool/TMDXICE110.

Moreover, the Eth. PHY datasheet of the TMDXICE110 (DP83822HRHBR: https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/dp83822h.pdf) mentions "Real Time Industrial Ethernet Applications such as ProfiNET®.

The datasheet of the DP83869HMRGZT does not mention anything about "Industrial Ethernet Applications".
