TDA4VM: MCU R5F control dram and emmc issue

Hi team,

In the MCU R5F SPL code, the MCU R5F performs spl_mmc_load and drag_init if the setup is started from emmc.

The customer would like to know why the MCU R5F can control dram and emmc. As in the figure below, isn't it only main domain that can control DDR and emmc?

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Hi Cherry,

Do you mean you are using emmc boot and spl is using emmc? That is because spl also has to read next component and load it.. So even though these modules are in main domain, spl would require to configure them in order to use them.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by controlling these modules?

DDR is typically configured by mcu domain r5f, in both the boot flows, SPL and SBL..
